Between the Pines Kennel is a small family owned and operated dogsled team, board, train and rescue. Our dogs’ health, wellbeing and overall happiness is top priority. When your dog/s stay with us, they will be treated as part of the family.
Jennifer is the main caregiver of our dogs and guest dogs. She has created an environment where dogs can truly thrive. Jennifer creates an individual exercise plan for each dog who enters our home. Exercise plans range anywhere from leash work, 1/2 mile walks, playing fetch, biking / bikejor and up to 10 mile team runs. Dogs also get time to play and socialize (if you choose). Our guest dogs do not have to socialize with any other dogs in our care if you prefer we keep them separate.
We also offer mushing / dog powered sports training for your dog/s.
If your dog prefers to lounge around the house and only needs minimal exercise, no problem! We have plenty of downtime during the day and our kids really enjoy spending time with our guest dogs.

Our current team of 5 is made up of mostly rescue dogs from Minnesota and California. In 2021 we entered our first dogsled and drylands races. Both of our kids are now starting to train with their dogs and hope to be competing as junior mushers within the upcoming years.

On occasion we will be running adoptable sled dogs (huskies, malamutes and northern breed mixes) with our team. Keep an eye out on our social media pages or feel free to contact us if you know of a rescue / owner surrender who would benefit from a dog sled / dog powered sports training program.
